Current Journal Entry
Monday, 26 January, 1998 20:01
I was happy to see John Elway finally get his Super Bowl ring. Now maybe he'll retire and the Chiefs won't need to worry about Denver anymore. O'well, it was a pretty good game, for a Super Bowl.
We had a good time at Bob's... he and Kim fixed some pretty good food, and we got done eating about the time the good commercials started. The main problem (for me, anyway) is that the kids were playing in front of the TV.
So... I got up this morning and took the little cat *whose moniker is now "troubles") in to get fixed. Karen told me to be there before 07:00, so I was. Unfortunately, they didn't open until 08:00, so I came home and went back. Troubles spent an extra hour in the cage, and he was not happy. He was mostly unhappy about not being allowed to eat or drink, however.
I came home and worked on various things around the house, mostly on my new page (If I can ever get my domain set up...) and on setting up a new web-ring... the Atheist Journals. Hopefully, there are at least five of us, because that's the minimum number needed to set up a ring... if you're interested, go to http:www.kspress.com/dfranklin/athjourn.htm. The requirements to join are minimal and the benefits are maximal.
Getting a ring set up is a bunch of work, more than I had originally thought. It should be worth it, though.
These three-day weekends are way too short. It seems that I just got off, and I have to go back tomorrow night. O'well, no rest for the wicked, and I don't get much, either.
I picked Troubles up at about 14:30, and the girl told me to let him "sleep it off". Well, that is one drunken-acting little cat, even yet. And he would not lay down, no, he has to fall all over everything. His cat-coordination was non-existent and he was very amusing to watch most of the time, but he did worry me when he would try jumping. DamnDamnDamn he just knew that he can jump from the couch to the chair... then he looks at me like it's my fault... which in a way, it is, of course. He should be all better by tomorrow...
More tomorrow...
Thanx for being here!
